Attorney Career Coach

Who else wants to leave the law?

Now, those looking for an attorney career coach can check out our dedicated lawyer website, Hot Blue Coaching!  Or you can still request a free consultation from the original Feroce Coaching site as well.

Finding the right career coach means finding the right mix of expertise, experience, and chemistry.  I'm Cameron Powell, Founder of Feroce and Certified Coach, and for most attorneys looking for career change I offer all three (chemistry, so ineffable, will take a free coaching consultation to ferret out).

If you are considering a career in the law and want sound lawyerly advice on law schools or guidance into your first legal job, look for a legal coach.  If you want to grow your legal practice, you may want to ask about treating me as a lawyer coach or a lawyer marketing coach.  You can also review my other career coaches.

Your Attorney Career Coach for Career Change

Attorney career coaching is one of my specialties.  I am that rare coach who has changed careers numerous times within the law and eventually understood why he had to get out.  My own legal career ranges from public service and private practice to teaching law and acting as in-house lawyer:Head Coach Cameron Powell - Free consultation

At each step junction in the road, I've done exhaustive research, tapped into an personal extensive network of lawyers and other professionals around the world, and learned from each position and industry in which I found myself.  I have perspective, and I've learned many ropes.  I have special expertise in the challenges and problems facing dissatisfied lawyers or those with business challenges, and the ways and means of getting out of firms, and even out of the law.  See my bio for the full story (with versions both long and short).

How I Coach Attorneys Through Career Change

Coaching is a dialectical process -- and sometimes gently Socratic -- designed to elicit from you what you already know . . . but just haven't acted upon.  At other times, I will tell you what I think, and sometimes that will amount to the first direct yet unbiased advice or observation about yourself that you will ever hear.  Along the way, we can do career testing similar to the Myers-Briggs and, more incisively yet, work through our Strategic Life Planning Process:  The Creation of the Future Self.  We'll discuss your values (what really matters to you) and uncover your true self -- the person you were before the accretions from other people (which I discuss in my capacity as a legal coach with those considering legal careers).  We'll go back into your past and rediscover what you really loved to do, before you lost your way.

And I'll counsel courage, patience, and perseverance (what you had when you studied for the LSAT), because changing careers is not easy.  The typical course of coaching for attorneys seeking career change is about three months, or 12 sessions.  The first session is free, so act now before you lost that impulse for change . . .
