Below you will find our
typical fees for business coaching. If you've done your due
diligence, you probably know by now that almost all
business coaches do not publish their rates
online (or anywhere else), and that most of those coaches will also not answer
direct questions about their fees via email.
Instead, they often ask you to join them in a one-hour phone call, at which time they
say they will quote you a fee. We invite you to try it for yourself.
Why do they refuse? Some do so because they know clients
will often balk at any quoted price and then go to a less expensive coach
-- one who, in the view of the more expensive coach, may be less qualified and
not get the client the results that the more expensive coach thinks he could
deliver. This is good as far as it goes, and we've seen emails from
coaches of great integrity who explain this candidly, but it strikes us as
erring on the side of being paternalistic.
If you want to hire a cheaper coach who may not get
you the same results, that's your business, just as any other sub-optimal
decision you make in life is yours to make. Our job is to provide you with
all the information you need to make the good decisions -- and that could
include placing competitive analyses and comparisons with other coaches right
next to the prices listed.
We are not interested in marketing ploys, nor in insisting
that we are not commodities. This is quite true, but it's also, for better
or worse, beside the point of potential clients' needs -- beginning with their
quite inevitable price comparisons. We
believe business coaching clients have the same right to clear and candid pricing that
those clients' own customers get from them. Herewith, we publish our
rates, which are standard, no matter who is paying:

Good question . . .* |
* You can find a few data points, however. At
business-personal-coaching.com, the rate for 3 45-minute
sessions is $799 per month. Coachmaria.com charges
$950/month for 3 60-minute sessions.
Life-coaching-resource.com charges $3100 for three
months for business coaching.
Of sites on the first two pages of Google, we found two
(March 2005) whose coaching fees are both listed and similar to ours.
** The pricing ranges noted above depend on several
factors, including the length of the coaching
engagement, the particular coach, whether any specials
are in effect, and the difficulty and anticipated time
required of the coaching
engagement.
Look for a business coach, an
executive coach, or a
leadership coach. Or look
into internet business coaching.
