At Feroce Coaching, we have
the expertise to guide you through powerful career
assessment tools.
While a
career aptitude test is not the sole focus of
coaching, it is useful for the insights that can move
you forward.
You could ask a career advisor or career
counselor to tell you what your "skills" are, but if
you've been out of school for more than a few years, you
already know them. Having someone tell you what you
already know is not a good use of your time or
money. Career
coaching involves much more, so make sure you know
what you're really looking for.

But there are
other reasons your career skills are not the heart of
the matter: if you're reading this page, it's
probably because you're unhappy using those very
same career skills, right? What you don't know is what
your true loves are, or how to let yourself listen to
them, and in many cases you don't know how or where you
can find the courage and support to pursue them. This is
what coaching is all about.

By becoming a Feroce
client, you will also have access to our
Strategic
Life Planning Process, "The Creation of the Future Self", a
series of well-written and informative chapters and
self-assessment tools specially constructed from our own
experience and dozens of career-oriented books.
Skills
testing, schmills testing. While skills are
important to know about, what you really know want to
know is what you want to, and can, do. That’s where real
creativity and a coach’s intuitive understanding of
people – what they say, how they say it, what they don’t
say – come in.
A career
counselor can tell you what your skills are, and make
educated guesses about the sorts of jobs in which those
skills would fare well (quite apart from whether you
would at all enjoy those jobs), but it's our
career
coaches who stick with you during the entire process of
identifying, searching for, preparing for, interviewing
for, and negotiating compensation for that new job or
even a new career.
There are a number of reasons
clients seek help from career coaches:
* You want to get to the next level in your current
job, enhance your performance, improve sales, and much
more
* You are unhappy in life, but unsure what
role your career plays in that grumbling
dissatisfaction -- and you want some guidance on
finding out. Perhaps with a
life coach?
* You are trying to decide what you
really want to do -- and then come up with the courage
to make a change and manage it
* You are
already in career transition and want to map out your
career's development with a
career coach
* You have a big decision
to make among different jobs and need a sounding board
* You are deciding among
job offers and want more (unbiased) advice,
or help with writing
cover
letters or negotiating a compensation package
* You are trying to decide whether to go back for more
education
* You are in a corporate job you want to
leave, or are searching for or considering one
* You are struggling with a decision of
whether to stay in a corporate job or strike out into
less conventional employment and you feel you could
benefit from career counseling or, better yet, the
business coaching
side of career coaching!
