Seattle Washington Career Coach
I’m Cameron Powell, Head Coach and one-time Seattle resident (I’m now living the good life in Bend, Oregon). I began Feroce Coaching and I’m proud to feature one of Seattle’s top career coaches. Of course, nearly all coaching is done by phone, so you may want to check out our other top-notch career coaches, too and be sure to take a look at our Science of Happiness Blog.
The rules for work are changing. We’re being judged by a new yardstick; not just by how smart we are, or by our training and expertise, but also by how well we handle ourselves and each other. –Daniel Goleman
Wanda Ropa is a Master’s certified career coach from the College of Executive Coaching who will fundamentally improve your career advantage and help you discover how to leverage your current experience and skills. She is an expert on careers. If the Guinness Book of World Records measured careers, she’d probably have the record for the number of diverse careers; anything is possible with the right tools and resources. From therapist, to certified coach, from the clinical world to the corporate jungle; in HR, training, consulting, sales, marketing, branding, successfully running multiple businesses, with many roles in-between, Wanda discovered that the most common factor in becoming successful in your career is leveraging your natural strengths and talents and matching an occupation that allows you to shine!
Currently, she is involved in 3 major start-ups as chief strategist and partner, running a successful coaching and consulting practice, and in the process of launching innovative programs and tools that leverage neuroscience, psychology, and creativity to shift individuals to achieve guaranteed success.
Wanda entered the business world as a headhunter specializing in technical and executive search. Armed with the secrets recruiters don’t tell you, Wanda established human resources departments, trained hiring managers how to interview, launched one of the earliest Internet recruiting sites that was later acquired by CareerBuilder.com, recruited, interviewed and hired over thousands of candidates for entry-level through the executive ranks, developed career expos, facilitated job search and career workshops, and personally coached thousands of individuals to be successful in their careers. She has over 25 years in organizational consulting, executive coaching, training, and human resources across diverse industries, including manufacturing, IT, telecommunications, media, call centers, biotechnology, health care, and financial arenas. She can help you create your personal brand, so you begin to stand out for your unique abilities as an employee, a business owner, an executive, or anything in-between.
The big question: If all of us are born with creative talents, what distinguishes the men and women who are recognized for their creative achievements in diverse fields, such as science, engineering, marketing, art, music, manufacturing, literature, poetry, architecture, to name a few? The differences lie in how they uniquely respond to life’s stimuli and triggers, based on the resources and tools they possess.
Coaching Approach & Tools
I believe work is meant to be fun, easy, and effortless. Using an approach that matches your style, I bring real world experience navigating the myriad of challenges and opportunities present in the workplace in the corporate arena, the health care environment, the industrial world, and the entrepreneurial universe. My mission is to act as a catalyst to help you move forward on your goals.
One of my tools, the StrengthsFinders™ Profile, identifies your top 5 natural born talents. My StrengthsFinders™ Profile reveals my top 5 strengths:
Self-Assurance - These people feel confident in their ability to manage their own lives. They have an inner compass that gives them confidence in their decisions.
Activator – Turns thoughts into action. In fact, these individuals believe that action is the best device for learning and help you translate your ideas into reality.
Ideation – Fascinated by ideas. Able to find connections between seemingly disparate phenomena. They are great for brainstorming.
Strategic – Create alternative ways to proceed. Faced with any given scenario, they can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues and develop strategic plans.
Learner – Great desire to learn and to want to continuously improve. In particular, the process of learning, rather than the outcome, excites them. They learn, extract the useful applications, and resynthesize this knowledge and wisdom.
These are perfect strengths to be your career coach. Would you like to find out your top 5 strengths? Ask for a free consultation.
