Here are
just a few seminal books and resources on goal-setting and
manifesting the world you want.
A great introduction to the most recent knowledge on how the Law of Attraction
and how to identify, set, review, visualize, and reach goals you wouldn't dream possible
-- at least not without knowing and trying these techniques.
Recommended by Coach Merrilee, a classic primer of the
Law of Attraction.
One of the most influential psychologists of the 20th
century (and perhaps the 21st), Martin Seligman
prefigured coaching with his "positive psychology," a
psychology that concerns itself not with dysfunction but
with happiness and states of joy. Isn't that what
we need, a focus on what we want to move toward, and a
bit less indulgence in what we don't want?
The book on the reasons for, and ideas for,
affirmations to change your mind, after which you
can change your world.
And a very handy kit that includes various reminders
(playing cards, magnets, and best of all, a CD by the
author to listen to in your car -- and to give you ideas on
your own CD).
What the Bleep Do We Know?
(DVD) The independent movie that had everyone
talking a few years ago. What do quantum physics and
modern brain science have to tell us about our goals,
our failures, our addictions, and our chances of
succeeding? This movie dramatizes ideas that would
take you hours to work through in book form. And
while you should read books on the topic,
particularly because some of the sources the filmmakers
used to illustrate certain points are questionable, this is
a great, fast introduction and dramatization that you
won't forget (and that's the whole point -- burning new
neural pathways). Stars Marlee Matlin,
winner of the Academy Award for Best Actress in
"Children of a Lesser God."
