Along the way, we deal with the things that have been holding the person back from that full Self-expression.  Many people who come to me have experienced some kind of psychological trauma in their past.  In some cases, it’s severe enough to be a clinical diagnosis.  Generally, these people are able to be functional, but still operate with inner defenses, self-putdowns, alarm systems, and what I call paralytic freezes that inhibit and affect their abilities to fully blossom, so to speak.

Our core goals are the experiences of Self-love, and Self-acceptance.  When we’ve reached this place (or even the beginning of it), we can then go forward in expressing and bringing forward the part of the person that is deep, sincere, loving, and profound. This is what is referred to as “coming from the heart”, or one’s “Divine Self”.

It’s a beautiful journey of Self-discovery, loving, and expression.  For me, it’s a great privilege and joy to be able to share in this journey.

My Work as a Spiritual Coach and Healer

A 24-session series that will open your heart, and help you to identify with your Higher Self.  Your unique qualities of love start coming to the fore, in creative, enriching ways.

Reconnecting With Nature series.  This interactive work in nature facilitates the healing of psychological trauma, removes addictions, expands your senses, and increases your ability to connect at a deeper level.  The interaction between the deepest level of your own nature and nature itself becomes a powerful inner teacher.

Energetic healing.  I’ve been a Reiki energetic healer since 1982, and a Reiki Master since 1989.  I often use this energetic healing in working with my clients, whether in person or at a distance.  The healing energy permeates whatever part of you needs help – whether it’s physical, mental, emotional, or “spiritual”.  As the receiver, you don’t need to do anything at all but to receive this healing energy of love.

Based on Buddhist roots 3,000 years old, my own Sacred Heart Reiki differs from other Reiki because it includes an extra attunement that will begin opening your heart.  This opening-up enables you to experience life, love, and relationships at a much deeper, more meaningful level.  Perhaps most importantly, it activates your ability to accept, appreciate, and love yourself.
 

Although I am available to people by the hour for either personal coaching or energetic healing, my favorite way to work with people is in three-month segments.  This gives a continuity and the time for a framework to be developed that is specifically tailored to the person.  In this approach, we work together for two hours a week for three months, either in person or on the phone. Most people prefer to have a combination of personal coaching/talking and energetic healing during those two hours.

I Love for Clients to Join Me in a Spiritual Retreat

I have a small retreat center in northern Virginia, on a little lake with beautiful grounds. There are herons, geese, ducks and the occasional swan, covered swings, and a dock. At times we will have a campfire, where people tell stories, sing, give readings, and just talk.  From the upstairs deck, one can have breakfast overlooking the lake, while watching the sun come up (for many people, watching the sun rise or set helps to open the heart).  It’s also a great vantage place in the evening to watch the moon rise.

My Background

My personal background includes work with members of congress, teaching meditation at the Pentagon, and interactive work with the United Nations.  As mentioned above, I’ve been a Reiki energetic healer since 1982, and a Reiki Master since 1989.  I’ve been active in the peace movement, always designing programs and events that are positive and don’t have an oppositional stance.  I was a delegate to the United Nations Millennium Forum in 2000.  In addition to my spiritual coaching and teaching, I founded and currently run a nonprofit organization called the Communities of Peace Foundation.  This program provides a conceptual framework for people to interact in community from each person’s highest place of self-expression.
