Spiritual life coaching
generally is for those who acknowledge the immanence of
spirit in the world and intuition in the body. It
is still life coaching,
but with a special emphasis requiring special
backgrounds and ways of being. We can help people
get started on a spiritual path, or choose among the
many confusing paths available. A particular area of interest for us is coaching clients
through spiritual crises -- also known as existential
crises, falling apart, nervous breakdowns, the dark
night of the soul made familiar to us by the Christian
mystics, and by many other names.
The most famous of its names, if the least
interesting and least enlightening, is the banal
"depression". We believe depression is
fundamentally spiritual in nature. That is,
although there are attendant biological causes and
symptoms, depression is essentially a message from the
self that prior messages have not been heeded, that
life
is out of balance, and that an internal war is going on.
"Pay attention!" it tells us. Depression is to
moods as the nightmare is to dreams. It's a
warning, and when you look at it after the fact, it's as
clear as day.
It's not clear at the beginning,
however. It is anything but. We haven't been
through this before. It is terrifying. What
could possibly be the message here? If I can't
think straight or feel anything, how can I possibly
comprehend such subtle and confusing messages?
Intuitive life coaching from a life coach holistic in
his thinking can be of great assistance.
All coaching is fundamentally holistic
because all coaching is
primarily about expanding awareness. If sunlight is the best
disinfectant, the same is true of your awareness.
Focus your awareness on anything, whether those inner
conflicts or healing the physical body, and you will
shine a light that purifies and clarifies.
Intuitive life coaching
is thus about reaching clarity
through awareness.

Our coaching of depressed
clients through one of life's greatest challenges is
not meant to replace psychotherapy or medication; it is
intended to supplement both of them. We can
enlighten our clients about the techniques of meditation and
yoga for depression, and show them where the right
resources can be found where ever they live. The
techniques have been proven in numerous scientific
studies to be as effective as antidepressants, yet
without side effects, or cost. And we believe the
effects are longer-lasting, and will improve every area
of your life.
