There is an awesome power in having a process that helps guide your future. This is what I experienced through the coaching and intuitive readings provided by Wanda. Being a person who likes to rely on concrete data, I was unsure of the information that I would receive in the initial readings. I was very pleased with the way the reading was conducted. The most noticeable thing I’ve gotten from my sessions is that I feel calmer, more at ease.

Through coaching, I realized that I needed to take care of myself first. It seems like such a simple concept but it’s so easy for me to lose sight of it. I appreciated and even enjoyed learning more about myself and my strengths and weaknesses through the personality tests. It was interesting for me to hear you say that no, I didn’t have to learn how to be outspoken and funny, that I could just be myself. What a load off! When I was out with friends or new people in a social situation, I could just relax. Every time I thought to myself “say something funny, quick!!” I remembered that “hey, it’s okay, you don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to.” You have no idea what a relief that was. I have spent many years trying to solve the problem of my life through over-planning, goal-setting, and hyper self-management. I have completed a million tasks. When I started with a coach I was unable to focus and I didn’t know the steps to take next. I had lots of thoughts and ideas but didn’t know what to do with them. Through the coaching process I learned how to focus on specific ideas and I learned how to find the next step and how to take it.

In the course of working with Wanda, I was laid off from my employer due to financial conditions within the company. Although not a complete shock, it was still a shock to the system. Wanda helped me better focus my resume through ideas about what a resume was really for. She also assisted me with creating the first cover letter for me to use to help get my foot in the door for an interview. Given that I had just received confirmation that I’m a fairly tenacious individual, I worked relentlessly to get applications out. I ended up with a handful of interviews and finally settled on a new position within three weeks. What I found helpful was that Wanda confirmed the approach that I was taking was not so far off the track and was fairly well though out.

Overall the changes have been gradual. The accumulated affect of all the exercises and working with Wanda has been to bring me out of my shell and back into the business world. For the first time in my career I have a direction I want to work towards. I understand that I may never reach the actual goal, but I know what it is and what it will take to get there. I feel that I now have a few more tools at my disposal that can help me understand situations I’m thrust into. These same tools can be used to create new situations and experiences. It’s my hope to increase the number of new experiences and situations that I can be exposed to. I’ve also come to the realization that this is business, not personal.

People are people regardless of where they are. However introduce the ‘responsibility’ function into the equation and they’ll generally change to fit into that situation. If you can show them what’s in it for them, you can win them over to your thoughts and ideas (be they right or wrong they’re generally a start). This can apply outside work too. I feel that I can finally be myself for the first time in a long time. I have to temper how much of ME others get, as not everyone is looking for a personality that appears bigger than real life. I’ve also learned that not everyplace is like the environments that I’ve been exposed to. My final lesson, and it’ll be one that I work towards the rest of my career, is to keep my eyes open and keep looking down the road and up. Something new and fantastic might just be waiting for me if only I realize that its there.
