Ferocious Career Coaches
Learn why trained, veteran career coaches, with real-world experience and all the skills and whole-person outlook of professional coaches, just get better results
->>Why Get Career Counseling from Trained Career Coaches?
Feroce’s career counselors can help you find career direction and be happier and more successful in your career of choice. Better yet, our career counselors are all trained professional coaches, which means that all the critical benefits of life coaching come FREE. You’re not just a careerist, you’re a whole person. Career coaching has supplanted career counseling precisely because coaches work with you as a whole person, and we integrate all of your goals and talents into your life and career.
We won’t just run you through a gob of personality assessments, but will take the time to get to know the whole, real you — your dreams and aspirations (especially outside of career), your values and priorities, your fears both rational and otherwise. And unlike traditional career counselors, our career coaches are available not just during sessions, but during the entire coaching engagement, by email and even emergency calls — as your mentors, allies, and confidants. They’re skilled at motivation, and at working with and through your fears. Ask a traditional career counselor if she’ll provide all that!
Real experience, real careers. As if that’s not enough, Feroce’s career coaches come with loads of real career and business experience. Our career coaches have been business executives, lawyers in top law firms, consultants, entrepreneurs, doctors and nurses, and much more. They’ve been where you are and where you’re going, in the trenches. When you hire Feroce Coaching, you haven’t just bought top-drawer career counseling. You’ll also get the cutting-edge of the consulting and counseling professions, life and career coaching, at no extra cost. (See why life coaching is critical to finding the right career).
Clients love our unbeatable selection of hand-picked career coaches, and the fact that I’ve already vetted them for you per my own standards: they’re highly trained, they’re experienced as both counselors and professional coaches, and, last but not least, they’ve had real, successful careers outside of coaching. As one of our clients put it when she first wrote us:
I have contacted other career/life coaches and found them very wanting — they are either people who have never really been thru “tough times” or can understand my situation; come up with completely unrealistic suggestions that will not play out in the REAL workplace of today; or are people who have gotten severance package deals when they were laid off a couple of years ago and have decided to have the ‘luxury’ of coaching people – but again have no real practical experience to give me.
Who can guarantee you this experience? I can. That’s why I started Feroce Coaching: to provide serious career-change candidates with the best counsel possible. I’ve spent the last six years scouring the field for career advisers you can bank on.
The career coach isn’t just for corporate executives, athletes, and celebrities anymore. Because of coaching, thousands of real people now love their careers as they never thought they could.

For professionals interested in career transitions, C.J. matches her approach to each person’s unique needs. Phase I is about clarifying your interests, skills, and life goals outside of work, so that you can develop a clear vision of what you want in your next job and your life. Phase II helps you take your vision and construct a game plan and strategies to determine potential areas of interest. In Phase III, we focus your attention on one or two key areas and on a formal job search. During this phase, C.J. will review your resume, provide interviewing tips, and address any roadblocks that arise. |

I’m Career Coach Wendy Billie As an in-house coach with a major, Fortune 50 company, I have a great deal of experience in outplacement — helping clients to figure out their next career move — as well as in helping clients get to the next level in their current careers. That’s why I was approached by Feroce’s Head Coach to share my skill set as a career coach. I have also provided advice and career counseling to MBA and undergraduate students at the University of Minnesota. I work with clients on all of the following:
I have a master’s degree in Human Resources, which provides me with a great background from which to give you with resume advice, negotiating skills, and interviewing advice. I took steps to reinvent myself a few years ago because I was stuck in my career. I left a high-paying job as a traveling occupational therapist, and I sought out a coach, read books, took career tests, and discovered who I was as my identity related to career. I used my skills and life learning in my own reinvention process. I am now in a career that fits me and pays even better than the one I worried about giving up. Career coaching has been a true passion of mine and a way to continuously challenge others and reinvent myself in the process. Why consider me as your career coach? “It is never too late to be what you might have been.” – George Eliot |

A Soulful Yet Strategic Approach To Finding The Right Career I’m Laura Svolos, a Certified Professional Coach who specializes in helping people to find a more fulfilling career and to navigate the transition skillfully, methodically, and strategically. I also help individuals with their resumes, cover letters, and talking points for interviews. I believe that finding the right job is a process that begins by knowing oneself. So my coaching begins with a self assessment process in which I use a variety of assessment tools to help you gain clarity about your:
This self assessment process ensures you are laying the right foundation for finding a fulfilling job. It also pays off down the road during the interviewing stage because people who are comfortable with who they are and who know themselves well tend to do better in interview situations. So you know yourself but can you stay true to your self? Once we discover your ideal job, my career coaching helps you to navigate the transition and most importantly, stay true to your self. This is where it can get tricky because many of us might find the career that makes our soul sing but our egoic/logical mind stands in the way. It stands in the way by wearing all the usual guises of fear-based thinking. And because your ego knows you better than anyone, it knows the soundtrack that will most likely keep you stuck. This is where my coaching can help you to stay the course by gaining mastery over your little self (your egoic mind) so you can let your big self (your Spirit) guide you to the job that will make you want to jump out of bed in the morning. That said, I understand that following the path of your Spirit has to yield enough income to meet your financial goals. So my coaching is very grounded in reality. I’ll help you navigate the transition to your dream job skillfully, methodically, and strategically. Selected Background My coaching draws upon my communication skills (I hold a master’s degree in journalism from a top ranked journalism school); my spiritual training (I studied Eastern spiritual wisdom and was ordained a Swami of Kriya Yoga); and my strengths as a strategic, analytical, and intuitive thinker. I also draw upon 22 years of professional experience spanning industries such as politics, entertainment, journalism, and not-for-profit. I have managed communications, fundraising, and marketing departments; have successfully launched a consulting business in which I grew and eventually sold; and have broken into two notoriously nepotistic industries without any contacts. On a personal note, I derive a lot of satisfaction from helping clients find a job that they are passionate about because this has been my path. At the age of 29, I left an unfulfilling job in the film business and took some time off to re-evaluate my life and my goals. I wanted to do something more meaningful with my skills. But I didn’t want to just jump into something that sounded interesting and find out later that it wasn’t the right fit. So I consulted with a career counselor (as there weren’t coaches back then). As a result, I started a new career in nonprofit. After three months in an entry-level position, I was promoted to the director of the department. I spent another 10 years in nonprofit and for six of those years, I owned a successful nonprofit consulting firm. I believe I was successful because this career was a bull’s eye match for me in terms of my values, strengths, and skills. So I am passionate about what I do as a career coach because I know from personal experience that it works. |
