The Executive Coach for Career Performance and Advancement

Need some tools and support to grow into a new position of increasing responsibility?

There is no more powerful change agent for executives than executive coaching.  Coaching’s return on investment is well-documented.  Executive coaching embodies everything truly effective that you merely read about in business books or hear about in management seminars.  Add to the inherent power of coaching the deep C-level executive experience of our executive coaches in starting up, running, and even profitably selling businesses, and you have the makings of a strong partnership.

Our executive coaches have started up a dozen companies, with and without venture capital, run businesses at the CEO or similar executive level, and even successfully sold businesses. But at least as importantly, they’re all great life coaches, for all coaching, after the third session, is life coaching — in executives’ case, helping  them get unstuck and out of their own way.

Cameron Powell, Founder and Executive Coach

I work with senior executives, lawyers, doctors, and other professionals to enhance their performance in their jobs, from meeting strategic objectives to working effectively and amicably with colleagues and direct reports.

I have studied the art and science of effective leadership since the mid-1980s.  I’ve held leadership roles in law and business, and have studied and written extensively on topics of emotional intelligence in executive leadership.  I have also conducted leadership training and team-building seminars, including as the Associate Director and speaker on best practices for the Corporate Leadership Council, a division of the Corporate Executive Board consultancy, in Washington, D.C.  In the United States, Canada, South America, New Zealand, and Australia, I have coached executives in over 120 Global 2000 corporations and the Colorado National Guard.  Aside from my positions as CEO in companies I’ve started up, I was most recently a Senior Vice President (for Strategic Development) and General Counsel.

But now the fun part.  Let me introduce you to my other executive coaches, who I’ve vetted and worked with myself.  I know they’re top-notch, so you can’t go wrong.  And if you can’t pick one, on the free consultation form, just be specific about your goals, and I’ll select the best match for you!

Coach CJ

C.J. Liu has worked with individuals, groups, teams, and organizations.  C.J. is a former CFO and strategic consultant who brings the know-how of more than 20 years of business, finance, and product development experience to her coaching clients.  C.J. has worked at some of the leading Fortune 500 companies, including Microsoft, General Electric, and Clorox. Before joining Feroce, C.J. served as an in-house executive coach at Microsoft and she continues to work with teams and individuals there today.  C.J. is a rarity in the world of executive coaching – she is one of few certified professional coaches with an MBA from a top-ranked program.

C.J. has coached executive directors at non-profits, business owners, and entrepreneurs on the issues that can create — or undermine — success: effective leadership and communications, conflict resolution, how to develop strong working relationships, and the hows and whys of emotional intelligence.  C.J.’s strong business background and diverse experience in product development, strategic planning, marketing, finance, and business development provides her coaching clients with a nice balance of Business IQ and Emotional Intelligence (EQ).

C.J. is pragmatic and realistic, and she brings an intense laser-like focus to issues of importance to her clients, which allows them to make quicker progress.  At the same time, she is perceptive, intuitive, optimistic, and light hearted, which is especially important in supporting her clients who are facing challenging business issues.

Bradley Foster, Executive Coach

Coach Bradley

I’m executive coach Bradley. I have been dedicated to leadership studies since I was in graduate school. Since then I have held many executive positions in business and society and been fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from, observe and advise respected leaders. My unique background combines consulting, communications, therapy and coach training and mentoring. I have over 20 years of work experience consulting in a business environment and running successful companies. My formal instruction includes three years of leadership training at the graduate level. I have written extensively on coaching, authentic leadership and emotional intelligence and led seminars that have helped reshape the direction of corporations.

I am a highly skilled executive coach that combines my unique background with Feroce’s best practices in coaching. I believe every one of my clients are creative, resourceful and able. My goal is to help clients identify and work toward their goals instead of being caught in the daily grind or working toward other people’s goals. I am here to help you get more of what you want in life:

  • Work/life balance
  • Enhanced Communication Skills
  • Confident, in-the-moment decision-making
  • Improved Leadership Skills
  • Genuineness
  • Renewed Interpersonal Skills

Working with me, you will drive your own agenda, get valuable feedback and perspective and learn new ways to bring creativity into all aspects of your life. I’m available on a limited basis to coach individuals and work with organizations throughout North America and the UK.

What is executive coaching?

It’s no simple task to explain succinctly why coaching works.  But imagine this:  you’re a chief executive officer.  You’ve got goals and the need to reach them — and you have a chief of staff following you around all day with a clipboard.  Do you get things done?  Yes, you do. Now picture a chief of staff who knows psychology, best business practices and organization, and motivational behavior.  This is what I do for you, by means of phone, email, and instant messenger contact with you throughout every week, noting your intentions and plans and making sure you get things done on your own deadlines.  I am strategist; I am accountability.  And you get things done.

Coaching works, ultimately, because the client wants it to.  But it helps that coaching is the very definition of accountability; coaching runs 24/7 for months, and can (and should) last until the goals are inevitably reached; and, like the best partnerships between coaches and elite athletes, coaching is a highly effective joint venture, a performance collaboration between peers:  the executive, and the executive coach.

Raise the Level of Your Executive Game

Feroce executive and business coaching helps executives and managers to raise the level of their game by:

  • Ensuring success in a new leadership position through our proven new-hire onboarding process
  • Developing or expanding leaders’ strategic vision
  • Developing business empathy – the ability to listen closely to one’s self and others
  • Becoming not just good managers but effective and empathetic leaders of their employees
  • Helping them to become more at ease with themselves
  • Becoming more authentic, or honest and transparent with themselves and others
  • Grounding their self-esteem in themselves, rather than merely their positions or resume, and therefore enhancing a professional presence that is more effective because it is visibly authentic
  • Thinking smarter and working harder, with less self-damage
  • Increasing their ability to achieve buy-in from others
  • Prioritizing what’s really important in their work, their lives, and between the two
  • Enhancing their flexibility and responsiveness for better executive decisions
  • Provide more value to the people they work with and the organization they work in Improving how they handle stress
  • Helping them achieve more harmonic balance between life and work
  • Increasing their personal expressiveness, including speech coaching

Why Executive Coaching Beats Anything Else You’ve Tried

Coaching does a better and more cost-effective job of all this than the alternatives — seminars, conferences, books and videos (see “Why Can’t I Coach Myself?”), one-or-two-day team-building sessions, or internal mentoring programs. Coaching is a unique, continual, one-on-one collaboration — in no other method do you have a full partner. Someone with whom you can check in several times a month — or even more often, with our instant-messenger, text-messaging and email services — and not just for the weekend or during a brief retreat, but for as long as it takes to attain goals.  The discussions become action-oriented because they occur while you’re at work or shortly before or after, and the assigned tasks flow into work.

The progress we make sticks because it’s grounded in your real world.

If you are looking for a coach in order to reach higher levels in your current position, you’ll also want to read about career coaching — sometimes it’s just a matter of emphasis or even of semantics, because all coaching is ultimately holistic, and deals with the entire person and his or her situation.

Most of our executive coaching is focused on growing a business or dealing with internal problems and conflicts, but it can also be directed toward fomenting individual executives’ growth, performance, and improved leadership (usually referred to broadly as executive coaching).
